Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam. The gist of accusation in this case is that on 30.01.2025, two informant, namely Sunil Kumar Gupta and Vikash Kumar Gupta had lodged an F.I.R before the Officer-in-Charge of Page No.# 2/2 Dispur Police Station, inter alia, alleging that on 22nd November, 2024, the informants have paid advance money of Rs. 19,20,000/- to the petitioner and his associate Mr. Pronjoy Narzary for purchase of four vehicles. However neither the vehicle has been delivered nor the money has been received back Pursuant to an order dated 26.05.2025, the petitioner has appeared before the I/O and his statement has been duly recorded. Considering the nature of the allegation, I am of the view that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not called for and since the statement of the petitioner has already been recorded, I consider it a fit case to grant pre-arrest bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the order dated 26.05.2025 is hereby made absolute with the same terms and conditions. Anticipatory bail application stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
