JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR, JUDGE ORDER 04.04.2025 This is an application by the claimant M/s Sona Enterprises filed in terms of Sections 14 and 15 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for terminating the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator Mr. Satish Chander, ADG, MES appointed by this Court in Arbitration Petition No. 25/2023 with a request to appoint a substitute Arbitrator in his place. Vide order dated 29.08.2024 passed by Lord Chief Justice in Arbitration Petition No. 25/2023, one Mr. Satish Chander, ADG, MES was appointed as sole Arbitrator to decide the dispute between the parties. The said Arbitrator has declined to accept the appointment and, therefore, the instant application. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and gone through the application filed, I am of the opinion that the mandate of the sole Arbitrator Mr. Satish Chander, ADG, MES, deserves to be terminated and in his place new substitute Arbitrator appointed.
