Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Chief Standing counsel for respondent no. 1 to 6. Notice to respondent no. 7 is dispensed with in view of the proposed order. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was appointed on the post of 'Principal' on 25.06.1993 on regular basis by promotion. On 01.07.2010 the salary of the petitioner was fixed in the initial pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-. It has been further submitted that while making fixation of salary on 01.07.2010, 17 years of the services of the petitioner on the post of Principal has not been counted. The Manager of the College has recommended the claim of the petitioner regarding his pay fixation vide its letter dated 24.06.2019 to the District Inspector of Schools. It has been further submitted that the District Inspector of School, Amethi has recommended the matter of the petitioner to the Director of Education Madhyamik, Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj vide its letter dated 13.12.2024 and has prayed to give adequate guidance regarding the pay fixation of the petitioner. It has been lastly submitted that it would be suffice if respondent no. 2 is directed to decide reference No. 5689-90 dated 13.12.2024 made by the DIOS, Amethi (Annexure No. 11) regarding the pay fixation of the petitioner as Principal. Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has no objection to this innocuous prayer. In view of the above, respondent no. 2 is directed to take a decision on reference No. 5689-90 dated 13.12.2024 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order by passing a reasoned and speaking order.
