Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:19238-DB Court No. - 2 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 2768 of 2025 Petitioner :- Amitabh Thakur Respondent :- Honble Allahabad High Court Thru. Learned Registrar General Prayagraj And 2 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Nutan Thakur,Deepak Kumar Counsel for Respondent :- Gaurav Mehrotra Hon'ble Rajan Roy,J. Hon'ble Om Prakash Shukla,J. Heard. The petitioner while in jail submitted some application / complaint to the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lucknow. However, the same went missing. On a complaint being made to the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, the Registrar General of the High Court issued a letter to the District Judge, Lucknow on 03.05.2024, a copy of which is annexed as Annexure No. 2, whereupon a preliminary enquiry was conducted by the C.J.M., Lucknow, and some employees / officials were found to have committed a lapse. Consequently, the District Judge has instituted a regular disciplinary proceeding against the concerned on 26.03.2025. The Special Judge, C.B.I. (Central) is the enquiry officer. However, the petitioner's Counsel says that some enquiry report has already been submitted. Be that as it may, as an enquiry is already underway, therefore, whatever decision is required to be taken by the competent authority would be taken accordingly. If the competent authority is the District Judge, then the petitioner should approach the District and Sessions Judge, Lucknow, who may look into the matter and do the needful as per law, unless there is any legal impediment, in which case the petitioner should be informed in writing. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
