By this petition, the petitioners have prayed for a writ of mandamus directing opposite party no. 2 i.e. Uttar Pradesh Police Service Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow to constitute the medical board to re-conduct the Physical Standard Test (PST) and re-measure the height of the petitioners digitally for the post of Constable Civil Police. Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel on the basis of written instructions has submitted that medical as well as entire selection process for 60244 incumbents have already been completed. Writ petition for all practical purposes has become infructuous. In view of the statement given by the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
