The petitioners have filed this writ petition in the nature of Mandamus seeking direction to the respondent No. 1 to expeditiously decide their representations preferred under Section 49 of the U.P. Avas Evam Vikas Parishad Adhiniyam, 1965. A further direction has been sought to the respondents not to take any coercive measures against the petitioners during pendency of aforesaid representations. A perusal of the record shows that the petitioners have submitted the representation to the State Government on 8th of March, 2025, as is evident from the postal receipt annexed with Annexure-1. 9th of March, 2025 was Sunday and Courts were closed and, on 10.3.2025, this petition has been filed seeking the relief for disposal of the said representations, without giving sufficient time to the State Government, which according to the petitioners is referable to Section 49 of the Adhiniyam 1965. There is no reason to believe as of now that the State Government would not consider the representation, if it has been received and is referable and maintainable under Section 49 of the Adhiniyam 1965.
