The applicant has preferred this application under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’), for grant of anticipatory bail, apprehending his arrest in connection with Crime No.25/2025, registered at Police Station Dipka, Distt. Korba (C.G.) for alleged commission of offence punishable under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (In short, IPC). 2. As per the case of the prosecution, the applicant has lodged FIR before Police Station Dipka District Korba (C.G.) vide Crime AKHILESH KUMAR DEWANGAN Digitally signed by AKHILESH KUMAR DEWANGAN 2 No.415/2024 for offence under Section 420/34 of I.P.C. against Suman Singh Rajput and Jay Singh Rajput alleging therein that they have taken money of Rs.4,50,000/- from the applicant for providing job at C.G. High Court, Bilaspur. Thereafter one of the accused Jay Singh Rajput has filed M.Cr.C. No.36/2025 before this Court which has been decided on 29.01.2025 and this Court has directed the Registrar General of this Court to take adequate steps against the applicant, based on which Police Station Dipka has lodged FIR vide Crime No.25/2025 against the present applicant under Section 420 of I.P.C. 3. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that Suman Singh Rajput is close friend of applicant since their school days and at present Suman Singh Rajput is a practicing lawyer at Chhattisgarh High Court, they met after a long time and she told the applicant that she will provide job at Chhattisgarh High Court on the post of clerk. He further submits that the financial condition of applicant is not well, therefore, he collected money on credit from other persons and on that promise the applicant has given money of Rs.4,50,000/- to his friend. Hence he prays to enlarge the applicant on anticipatory bail. 4. On the other hand, learned State counsel opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail and submits that the accused of MCRC No.36/2025, Jay Singh filed a bail application before this Court, which was rejected vide order dated 29.01.2025 and the Court 3 has directed the Registrar General to take adequate steps against the complainant of that case, who is present applicant. He further submits that the applicant paid Rs.4,50,000/- to Jay Singh Rajput and Suman Singh Rajput for securing a post of Clerk at the Chhattisgarh High Court. Consequently, the Dipka Police Station registered an FIR, No. 25/2025, under Section 420 of the IPC., therefore, the anticipatory bail application of the applicant deserves to be rejected. 5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the case diary. 6. Taking into consideration the nature of allegation made against the applicant that he had paid Rs.4,50,000/- to Jay Singh Rajput and Suman Singh Rajput for securing a post of Clerk at the Chhattisgarh High Court, further offering money for such wrongful purpose cannot be encouraged by this Court and has to be dealt strictly, as such, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the applicant. 7. Accordingly, the anticipatory bail application of the applicant - Sanjay Das, involved in Crime No.25/2025, registered at Police Station Dipka, Distt. Korba (C.G.) for alleged commission of offence punishable under Section 420 of the IPC is rejected. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha) Chief Justice Akhil
