Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) Learned Deputy Advocate General has handed a copy of over instructions, dated 09.07.2025, received from Executive Engineer, HPPWD Division, Dharampur, District Mandi, H.P., which are taken on record 2. By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- (i) “That a writ in nature of mandamus may very kindly be issued to the respondents thereby directing the respondents to make payment of the final bill submitted by the petitioner qua the work in question, within time bound period. (ii) That the respondents be also directed to pay interest to the petitioner on the amount of Rs.12,581,613 payable at the rate @18% per annum from the date of submission of bill on 2022 to till date of actual payment of amount.” 2 3. The following are the contents of the instructions, which have been handed over to the Court by the learned Deputy Advocate General. Perusal thereof, demonstrates that it is an admitted position that an amount of Rs.125.82 lacs has not been disbursed to the petitioner due to the paucity of founds, though work to the tune of said amount has been executed by the petitioner of the respondent. 4. In the light of this fact that the amount stands admitted by the respondent as has been depicted hereinabove, this petition is disposed of with the direction that let the same be positively paid to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from today. In case needful is done within a period of six weeks, then, the same shall not entail any interest. If the amount is not paid within a period of six weeks, it will entail interest @6% from the date of filing of the writ petition. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
