Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the material available on record. This writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs : "(i). issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari for quashing the impugned history sheet no. 116 A dated 12.10.2022 opened against the petitioner by the opposite party no.2 ; (ii). issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite party no. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 28.01.2025, whereby a request has been made by the petitioner to close the history sheet no.116A dated 12.10.2022, as contained in Annexure no.9 to the writ petition." The counsel for the petitioner states that he is not pressing relief no.1 and he is only pressing relief no.2 whereby he has prayed that the petitioner's representation pending before opposite party no.2 may be decided in a time bound manner. In view of the above, the representation of the petitioner pending before opposite party no. 2 Superintendent of Police, Unnao, with regard to closing of history sheet be decided expeditiously in accordance with law within three months after affording opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned.
