Sandhawalia, Chief Justice (Oral) This Public Interest Litigation is filed with a prayer to reinstate the irrigation facilities to the residents of Mohal Mail. 2. On 02.09.2024, it was noticed by the Coordinate Bench that the construction of the new lift irrigation scheme will be completed by March 2025 and accordingly fresh status report was called for. 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 3. On 02.12.2024, it was noticed that 75% work of the scheme has been completed and the balance work of the scheme shall be completed by 31.03.2024 and resultantly the matter was kept for 08.04.2025 for compliance. 4, On 08.04.2025, it was noticed that about 90% construction work of the scheme has been completed and two weeks’ time to ensure completion of work and for filing the fresh status report was sought for. 5. Today, letter dated 06.05.2025 received by the Office of the Advocate General addressed by the Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division, Chowari, Distt. Chamba has been placed on record. The letter would go on to show that 95% of the work has been completed and remaining work will be completed by 31st May, 2025, subject to availability of necessary funds and installation & commissioning of power supply by HPSEB Ltd. 6. Accordingly, we are of the considered opinion that the matter has been rendered infructuous and is disposed of as such. However, the compliance affidavit be filed by respondent No.4 before the Registrar (Judicial) regarding completion of 2 work and the installation & commissioning of power supply by 01.07.2025. 7. In case, needful is not done, it is open to the petitioner to file an appropriate application for revival of the present petition. 8. Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of.
