ORDER 28.04.2025
1. In the instant contempt petition, the petitioner has alleged non- compliance of order dated 18.10.2011 passed in SWP no. 663/2006, in terms whereof, while disposing of the same, the respondents came to be directed to accord sanction to the petitioner’s case for promotion/up-gradation to the post of Chuffeur w.e.f 25.01.1996, i.e the date, promotion was admittedly due to the petitioner, with all consequential benefits.
2. Compliance report has been filed by the respondents, wherein it is being inter alia stated that the case of the petitioner stands recommended to the Administrative Department for accord of sanction for drawl of pending arrears.
3. Be that as it may, record of the proceedings would reveal that none has appeared on behalf of the petitioner for the last two consecutive dates of hearing. Today also, same is the position, which clearly suggests that the grievances of the petitioner seemingly has been redressed. Sr. No.33

4. Under these circumstances, notice issued in the contempt petition is recalled and proceedings in the contempt are closed with liberty to the petitioner to seek revival of the instant contempt petition within four weeks from today, in the event of availability of cause.
