Heard Sri P.Narasimhulu, learned counsel for the petitioner Sri Sk. Khaja Basha, learned counsel for respondent No.1.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court directed the respondent authorities to dispose of the representation of the petitioner in IN THE HIGH COURT OF ANDHRA PRADESH [3332] HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAVI CHEEMALAPATI ...PETITIONER ...CONTEMNOR(S) This Contempt Case is filed under Sections 10 to 12 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 against the respondents for willful disobedience of the order 31.10.2023 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.31957 of 2022. Heard Sri P.Narasimhulu, learned counsel for the petitioner and this Court directed the respondent authorities to dispose of the representation of the petitioner in

accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks. But the respondent authorities have not complied with the directions of this Court. Hence, they are liable to be punished under Sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act. 4. In reply, Sri Shaik Khaja Basha, learned counsel for respondent No.1 submitted that the Chief Executive Officer of the AP State Waqf Board addressed a letter dated 02.04.2025 to the Commissioner & Inspector General of Registration and Stamps Department requesting to delete the subject land from the Prohibited Properties List. The said communication is placed on record by duly serving a copy of the same on learned counsel for the petitioner and therefore, there is no disobedience on the part of respondent No.1 as alleged by petitioner. 5. This Court vide order dated 31.10.2023 disposed of the Writ Petition No.31957 of 2022. The operative portion of the said order is as follows:
“Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to make a representation for deletion of subject property duly enclosing copy of the order of this Court passed in Writ Petition No.19769 of 2021 whereby the Errata Notification was set aside being unsustainable. Thereupon, the authority concerned shall dispose of the said representation in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks there from.”
6. Perusal of the record would show that pursuant to the order of this Court dated 31.10.2023, the petitioner made a fresh representation dated 04.12.2023 to the Chief Executive Officer, AP Waqf Board to take necessary

action and issue de-notification order as ordered by this Court and also delete the subject land from the list of prohibited lands.
Basing on the representation of the petitioner, Sri Shaik Mohammad Ali, Chief Executive Officer, AP State Waqf Board addressed a letter vide F.No.S-55/KNL/2019 dated 02.04.2025 to the Commissioner & Inspector General of Registration and Stamps Department, requesting to delete the subject lands situated at Munagalapadu village, Kurnool Rural Mandal from the list of properties prohibited under Section 22-A (1)(c) of the Registration Act, 1908. 7. In view of the above, since the Chief Executive Officer has addressed a letter to the Commissioner & Inspector General of Registration and Stamps Department requesting to delete the subject land from the prohibited properties list, this Court is satisfied that the order of this Court has been complied with and there remains nothing for adjudication. Hence, the Contempt Case is liable to be closed. 8. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any in the Contempt Case, shall stand closed. ___________________________ JUSTICE RAVI CHEEMALAPATI 08.05.2025 MP
