Heard learned counsel for petitioner and the learned AGA for the State/Opposite Parties. Present writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking the following main prayer:- "I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus thereby commanding the state opposite parties to provide protection, witness protection, witness identity protection, new identity, witnesses relocation, compensation/ donation/ contribution to the petitioner, family members under the Uttar Pradesh Witness Protection Scheme, 2024 in the interest of justice. II. Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the direct the opposite party no.2 to 4 to decide the application dated 08.02.2025 moved under the Uttar Pradesh Witness Protection Scheme, 2024 within stipulated time and period Uttar Pradesh Witness Protection Scheme, 2024 in the interest of justice." Learned AGA, on instructions, informs that the matter is already referred to the District Standing Committee for providing security to the informant and witnesses. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that grievance of petitioner would be substantially met in case representation of petitioner for the said purposes is considered and decided in a time bound manner. Learned AGA has no objection to the same. In view thereof, petitioner is permitted to make a detailed representation to opposite party no.3/District Judge, Lucknow/Chairman Witness Protection Committee, Lucknow, raising all his grievance, annexing therewith a copy of this writ petition along with annexures and all the documents in support of his claim within a period of one week from today along with a certified copy of this order. In case such a representation is moved by petitioner, opposite party no.3/District Judge, Lucknow/Chairman Witness Protection Committee, Lucknow, shall consider and take appropriate decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date a certified copy of this order along with representation is placed before him.
