The petition has been filed with the following main prayer:- "It is most respectfully prayed to this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus upon opposite party no. 1 to 3 to establish parity in fixed salary among contract medical officers and pay salary equivalent to those contractual Medical Officers hired on more fixed salary from the date of their appointment and pay arrears from said date if any to the petitioners." After arguing at some length, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that it would suffice if the representations submitted by the petitioners to respondent no. 4 is duly considered and decided. Learned counsel representing the respondents have no objection to this innocuous prayer. Accordingly, without entering into the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 4 to decide the representation, as contained in Annexure No. 2 collectively with the petition, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
