WRIT PETITION NO: 8050/2025 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of the India seeking the following reliefs:-
“to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not passing any orders on the application submitted by the petitioners vide transaction ID- MUT240918057726, dated 18.09.2024 for mutating their names in the revenue records for the lands situated at Sy.No.63/7 situated at Kallur Village to an extent of Ac.0.27 cents as arbitrary, illegal, improper, irregular, unreasonable, unwarranted, unjustified and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents herein to pass orders on the application made vide transaction ID- MUT240918057726, dated 18.09.2024 for mutating the names of the petitioners in the revenue records for the lands situated at Sy.No.63/7 situated at Kallur Village to an extent of Ac.0.27 cents and pass such other order.”
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondents. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the claim of the petitioners and their entitlement was declared pursuant to the orders of the Settlement Officer. Later, the petitioners made an application dated 18.09.2024 seeking to mutate their names in the revenue records. But the respondents neither considered the said application nor initiated any steps. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the respondent authorities will consider the

petitioners’ application dated 18.09.2024 for mutation and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time. 5.
Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondents and on perusal of the material placed on record, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the application dated 18.09.2024, within a period of two(2) months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order. 6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel miscellaneous application, pending, if any, shall also stand closed. ________________________________
