Ashang, learned PP appearing for the respondent. The present application has been filed with a prayer for condoning the delay of 838 days in filing the connected Criminal Appeal No. 137 of 2025. Mr. Y. Ashang, learned PP fairly submitted that as the appellant has been convicted for life, he has no objection in allowing the condonation application and to hear the connected appeal on merit. Considering the submission made by the learned PP and also on perusal of the record, this Court is of the view that it will be in the interest of justice to allow this condonation application and to hear the connected appeal on merit.
