Also heard Mr. K K Das, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam. 2. This application has been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner Soleman SK has prayed for releasing him on bail, after he was arrested in Page No.# 2/2 connection with Sukchar P.S. Case No. 82/2024. 3. The petitioner has been in custody for more than 180 days. 4. Mr. Das has pointed out that police has not extended the remand period and no charge sheet has been filed as yet. 5. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 6. This Court is of the opinion that the petitioner is entitled to default bail. 7. Therefore, the bail application of the petitioner is allowed. 8. It is hereby directed that the petitioner Soleman SK, who was arrested in connection with Sukchar P.S. Case No. 82/2024, shall be released on bail of ₹30,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, South Salmara, Mankachar.
