The present petition has been filed challenging an order dated 15th July, 2024, whereby the application for grant of arms licence was rejected. The reasons for rejection are that column Nos.18, 19, and 19B were not filled. 3. In that context, learned Standing Counsel was directed to produce the copy of the application. In front of column No.18 a 'X' has been affixed and column Nos.19 and 19B are blank. 4. Considering the fact that application was filed in the year 2018, if the said application was lacking some particulars, the respondent ought to have called the petitioner to fill the said blank column and rejecting the same after six years, appears to be arbitrary. 5. In view thereof, the petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to fill the column Nos.18, 19 and 19B afresh in the presence of licensing authority, who shall thereupon proceed to decide the same in accordance with law and shall disposed of the same within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
