Parashar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State. 2) The applicant, as a petitioner has filed the connected Bail Application No. 1562/2025 on 14.05.2025 seeking bail in Special NDPS Case No. 24/2020, arising out of Badarpur Police Station Case No. 137/2019, corresponding to G.R. No. 2356/2019, registered under Section 21(C) of the NDPS Act, 1985, in which, the petitioner was arrested on 24.04.2025 and is in custody since then. 3) In the said Bail Application No. 1562/2025, the petitioner inadvertently committed a typographical mistake in the Cause Title at page No. 1, where the district has been typed as “Sribhumi” instead of “Cachar” and the “Special NDPS Case No. 24/2020, arising out of Badarpur Police Station Case No. 137/2019” instead of “Special NDPS Case No. 24/2020, arising out of Sonai Police Station Case No. 137/2019”. Hence this interlocutory application by the petitioner for correction of the inadvertent typographical mistakes that occurred in the Cause Title at page No. 1 of the connected Bail Application No. 1562/2025. 4) Perused the annexures annexed to said Bail Application No. 1562/2025. 5) It is seen that it is Sonai Police Station Case No. 137/2019, wherein the petitioner is an FIR named accused. Further, it is also seen that Sonai Police Station is in the district of Cachar and not Sribhumi (Karimganj). 6) Considering the above, the district in the connected Bail Application No. 1562/2025 be corrected as “Cachar” in place of “Sribhumi” and the Case No. be corrected as “Special NDPS Page No.# 3/3 Case No. 24/2020, arising out of Sonai Police Station Case No. 137/2019” in place of “Special NDPS Case No. 24/2020, arising out of Badarpur Police Station Case No. 137/2019” in the Cause Title at Page No. 1. 7) Registry shall accordingly do the needful. 8) With the above observations and directions, this Interlocutory Application stands disposed of. 9) The connected Bail Application No. 1562/2025 be listed for Motion on 26.05.2025 after necessary correction.
