PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner/A2, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.197 of 2025 of Nallapadu Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C) read with 8(c) of the NDPS Act. 2. Case of the prosecution, in brief, on 17.02.2025, on credible information, the Inspector of police along with his staff and mediators rushed to Mother Therissa Colony, cheruvu Katta, Reddypalem Village, and caught the accused in possession of 24.740Kgs of Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediators report. 2 3. Heard. Perused the record. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner herein has been in judicial custody from 17.02.2025 and prays to grant bail to the petitioner herein. 5. On the other hand, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor opposed to grant bail on the ground that contraband allegedly involved in the present crime is 24.740Kgs of Ganja, which is a commercial quantity and further submitted that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. 6. In view of the gravity of offence and involvement of commercial quantity of ganja and in view of the bar contained under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 7.
