Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri Shivanshu Bajpai, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no. 2 and perused the record. 2. The present petition has been filed by the petitioners with the following prayer: " (1) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding upon the opposite party no.-3 to pay the sum insured amount to the petitioners under the "Police Salary Package Scheme" on account of accidental death of Late Subhash Chandra for Personal Accident Insurance Policy as well as other benefits as per MOU alongwith the medical expenses, mortal transportation & funeral etc., with interest @ 14% from the date of death of the deceased i.e. 24-05-2023 to the date of actual payment." 2. Considering the fact that the application of the petitioner is pending before the opposite party no. 3, the present petition is disposed of with direction upon the opposite party no. 3 to pass orders on the application filed by the petitioner for grant of benefits in accordance with law preferably within a period of six weeks.
