The petitioner seeks issuance of the passport. 3. Counsel for the petitioner says that there was a criminal case against the petitioner wayback in 2004 in which final report had been submitted, but, he is not aware as to whether the same has been accepted by the concerned Court or not. 4. It is for the petitioner to ascertain as to whether the final report was accepted or not and thereafter do the needful and inform the Regional Passport Officer, who shall proceed accordingly, but, only as per law. It is open for the Regional Passport Officer to get a fresh report specifically from the police as to whether final report was accepted by the Court or not. 5. With these observations, the petition is disposed of.
