Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:11832 Court No. - 6 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 2357 of 2025 Petitioner :- Dileep Kumar Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Addl. Chief Secy. / Prin. Secy. Home Deptt. Lko And 2 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Prashansa Singh Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Alok Mathur,J. 1. Heard Ms. Prashansa Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners appeared in the recruitment process for the post of Constable in Civil Police, for which the advertisement was issued on 23.12.2023. The petitioners appeared in the written examination and were declared successful and were again issued another admit card for appearance in the documents verification and physical standards test. The physical test was conducted in January, 2025 and the height of the petitioners was found to be 167.5 and 167.3 cms and the difference is less than one centimeter, inasmuch as, had the height been 168 cms, they would have qualified to the next level of the examination. 3. Considering the fact that the difference in height is less than one centimeter and the same is measured physically, there are chances of human error and as interference has already been shown in other matters and the Medical Board is also in operation, let the height of the petitioner be re-determined. 4. Learned Standing counsel on the basis of instructions submits that today is the last date for appearance before the specially constituted medical board pertaining to measurement of height. 5. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner is ready and willing to appear before the Medical Board today itself. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to appear before the Medical Board today itself and in case he appears before the Medical Board today, learned Standing Counsel is directed to intimate the respondents/Medical Board with regard to order passed today forthwith for re- determination of height of the petitioner today itself.
