Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel. 2. The present petition has been filed with the following prayer: "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby commanding and directing the opposite party no. 2 to 5 to remove the illegal encroachment from the land Gata No. 376 area 0.2470 situated at Vilage-Narayanpur, Police Station and Tehsil-Tarabganj, District-Gonda forthwith, in the interest of justice. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby commanding and directing the opposite party no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 14.2.2025 contained in Annexure No.1 to this writ petition by a speaking and reasoned order within a period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court, in the interest of justice." 3. Learned Standing Counsel based upon the instructions states that prima facie illegal occupation is found and the proceedings shall be initiated soon. 4. In view of the said statement, the present petition is disposed off permitting the opposite parties to initiate and conclude the proceedings expeditiously preferably within the time as prescribed in the statute. 5.
