This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order issued by the Government in G.O.(Ms).No.103 Public Works (A2) Department dated 31.05.2012, whereby the service of the 6 th respondent has been extended for a period of one year from 01.06.2012 F.N. to 31.05.2013 A.N., in Category-1, Chief Engineer (Branch-I, Public Works) in Tamil Nadu Engineering Service in public interest. 3. Though the petitioner herein has challenged the said order dated 31.05.2012, there is no interim order passed by this Court, the period for which the impugned order has been issued as already elapsed as early as on 31.05.2013.
