The petitioner wants updation of the Family Register pertaining to House No.13 from 1970 to 2015 pertaining to the petitioner's father, who according to her, had house in the village though he has expired in the year 1997. The petitioner admittedly resides at her in-laws' place. Learned Standing Counsel has instructions to the effect that name of the father does not figure in the Family Register. The father has already expired. If the petitioner has any right to get her name included in the Family Register, she may approach the concerned authority under the U.P. Panchayat Raj (Maintenance of Family Registers) Rules, 1970 or seeks such other remedies as may be permissible under law but we cannot go into such question under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
