The writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to remove the encroachments made by the eighth respondent on the Highways in S.No.229/1, Periyapattinam Village, Keelakarai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. 2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 7, on instructions from the Assistant Divisional Engineer, Highways Department, Ramanathapuram, dated 28.08.2025, submitted that the Assistant Divisional Engineer had already sent a communication to the Tahsildar requesting to conduct a survey by letter dated 21.04.2023. Once such survey is conducted and the encroachments are identified, appropriate proceedings will be contemplated. 3.
