Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent. 2. By this petition, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of writ of Mandamus commanding the opposite party to conclude the departmental proceedings initiated vide order dated 24.09.2012 against the petitioner. 3. The Co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide it's earlier order dated 06.03.2025 has passed the following order:- "1. Perusal of order sheet indicates that time was granted to learned Standing Counsel to seek instructions with regard to the inquiry which was initiated against petitioner on 24.09.2012. It was alleged that inquiry has not been not concluded till date. 2. Learned Standing Counsel has further stated that despite written communication having been sent to the respondents on 01.03.2025, no response has been received so far. 3. Accordingly, list this case on 19.03.2025. In case no instructions are received by the next date of listing, respondent no. 1 shall appear in person before this Court alongwith relevant record for assistance, on the next date fixed." 4. Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of written instructions received by him, has submitted that the inquiry report has been submitted on 19.04.2024. He submits that disciplinary proceedings will be concluded shortly. 5. In view of aforesaid submission, the petition is disposed of directing the respondent to conclude the departmental proceedings preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
