The learned Senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is aggrieved by the notice issued under Sections 94 and 106 of the BNSS. 2. The 2nd respondent is investigating Crime No.114 of 2025, on the file of Arundalpet Police Station, registered under Sections 318(4) and 316(5) read with 3(5) of the BNS. The complainant has alleged that gold belonging to her was pledged with a company by the name Indil Gold Money Private Limited. The complaint has alleged that she handed over the gold weighting 5,845 grams in gold ornaments to the Manager of the said company. It is further alleged that after the complaint approached the company for the release of her gold, as she was willing to repay the amount taken on loan, the Manager informed her that the gold had been sold by the Manger of Indil Gold Money Private Limited to the petitioner. In that regard, the police have issued a notice under Sections 94 and 106 of the BNSS. 3. The learned Senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that there are absolutely no details regarding the ornaments that are sought to be produced. It is also submitted by the learned Senior counsel that Information regarding the gold ornaments, such as their weight, etc,. is missing in the notice. As such, the notice is vague, and the petitioner seeks a declaration of quashing the notice issued under Sections 94 and 106 of the BNSS. The issue of 3 HN, J W.P.No.7848_2025 investigation is left open for the 2nd respondent, who is investigating Crime No.114 of 2025, which is registered on 12.03.2025. 4. Any interference with the notices issued under Sections 94 and 106 of the BNSS would amount to interference in the process of investigation. The power conferred on police under Sections 94 and 106 of the BNSS is a statutory power. This Court is not inclined to interfere with the powers of police in investigating a case, in absence of any patent illegality or irregularity. 5. Considering the stage of investigation, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the process of investigation of Crime No.114 of 2025, on the file of Arundalpet Police Station. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
