By the present writ petition, the petitioners are seeking a direction towards the respondent State Bank of India to release the hold put on the joint account of the petitioners bearing No.10654772093. 2. During pendency of the petition, by covering memo dated 19-12-2024 the petitioner has placed a copy of letter dated 1-11-2024 written by the Branch Manager, SBI, Bar Branch, Rajasthan, to the petitioner, by which it has been intimated to the petitioner that they are removing hold from his account, but due to technical reasons they are not able to remove hold immediately, however, after rectification of the technical error the hold will be removed shortly. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the SBI would submit that as far as the Bilaspur Branch is concerned, a simple formality of completion of KYC (Know Your Customer) is required and, as such, if the petitioner will approach the Branch the same will be done at the earliest possible time. 4. I have heard heard learned counsel appearing for the parties and perused the documents. 5. Considering the entire facts situation of the case, particularly considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the SBI, both the petitioners (joint account holders) are directed to approach the SBI, Raj Kishore Nagar Branch, Bilaspur, within a period of two days from today and complete the requisite formalities of KYC and thereafter, the Branch Manager of the said Branch is directed to remove the hold from the joint account of the petitioners, as per the extant rules, within a fortnight period. 6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
