The Tahsildar, Thanjavur, has filed a counter affidavit, wherein in Paragraph No.11, it has been stated as follows: “11. Further it is humbly submitted that the contention of the petitioner in Para 12 is misleading. The Government has no ambit and jurisdiction over the patta lands except in cases they are intended to be acquired for public purpose. Presently the petitioner compels the Government to act on his own accord without taking into account law in force. Hence the averments of the petitioner in this Para 12 may kindly be treated as vexatious and misleading.” 3.
