1. By the present Writ Petition, the Petitioner is seeking a limited relief/direction towards the respondent authority to decide the pending application of the petitioner for issuance of permanent Caste Certificate RAHUL JHA Digitally signed by RAHUL JHA Date: 2025.03.12 17:48:47 +0530
2 of “Oraon” Caste which is listed as Schedule Tribe on the basis of her mother and father caste certificate, as per the Chhattisgarh Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Regulation of Social Status Certificate) Rule, 20131.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has submitted an application before the SDO on 04/08/2024, however, the same is still pending and no decision has been taken on the said application.

Learned counsel for the respondent/State, on instructions, would submit that if the application is still pending, the SDO (Revenue) shall decide the same in accordance with law within a stipulated period.
4. I have heard counsel for the parties and perused the pending application.
5. Looking to the submission made by the respondent/State, it is directed that the SDO shall take a decision on the application filed by the petitioner within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order in accordance with law.
6. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
