This Application has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for quashing the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.163 of 2023 (Old No.5607 of 2022), “State vs. Akhil Dutt”, pending before the court of Judicial Magistrate/Civil Judge, Mussoorie, District Dehradun, under Sections 323, 498A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, Section 3 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2. Mr. Rajat Mittal, learned counsel for the applicant-accused. 3. Mrs. Sweta Badola Dobhal, learned Brief 1 2025:UHC:9275 Holder for the respondent no.1. 4. Mr. Vishesh Srivastava, learned counsel for the respondent no.2-informant and the wife of the applicant. 5. Applicant, the husband of the respondent no.2-informant, is present through video conferencing. He is identified by Mr. Rajat Mittal, Advocate. 6. The respondent no.2-informant is present through video conferencing. She is identified by Mr. Vishesh Srivastava, Advocate. 7. Both, the Applicant and respondent no.2 submitted that they have resolved their matrimonial disputes and after solving the disputes, they have filed a Compounding Application (IA No.1 of 2025) and affidavits with their free will and without any pressure. The respondent no.2 has requested to quash the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.163 of 2023 (old no.5607 of 2022). 8. The said request of the respondent no.2 has not been opposed by Mrs. Sweta Badola Dobhal, Brief Holder. 9. In the facts and circumstances of the case, ends of justice would be met if the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.163 of 2023 (old no.5607 of 2022), 2 2025:UHC:9275 “State vs. Akhil Dutt”, pending before the court of Judicial Magistrate/Civil Judge, Mussoorie, District Dehradun, are quashed. 10.
