Basareddy, HCGP) This CCC is filed under Section 2(b) R/w Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying to initiate proceedings against the accused for committing Contempt of lawful Order passed in Writ Petition No.205590/2019 dated 28.07.2020 vide Annexure-B and punish the accused in accordance with law. Hemalekha J., made the following: 2 ORDER The present contempt petition is filed to initiate contempt proceedings against the accused for willful disobedience of the order dated 28.07.2020 passed in Writ Petition No.205590/2019 by the learned Single Judge. 2. Learned High Court Government Pleader has filed a memo dated 16.12.2021 along with the documents/letters, which reads as under: "That in the above Contempt case, the Respondent-Accused is herewith submitting the copy of the letter No.LAQ/KP/CR-01/2019-20/942 dated 20.02.2021 addressed to the Special Deputy Commissioner (R & R), Belagavi for approval of award amount pertaining to the Well of the complainant along with proceeding with calculation order No.LAQ/KP/CR- 01/Wwll Allwoance/2019-20 dated 20.02.2021 passed by the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Karanja Project, Bidar and copy of letter No.LAQ/KP/CR-01/2019-20/923 dated 01.09.2021 dispatched on 18.09.2021 addressed to the CAO, KNNL, Dharwad for releasing award amount pertaining to the Well of the complainant. The same may kindly be received and be made as part of the record in the interest of justice and equity." 3 3. Learned High Court Government Pleader submits that the order of the learned Single Judge dated 28.07.2020 in W.P.No.205590/2019 has been complied with. 4. The memo and submission of the learned High Court Government Pleader is placed on record. 5. Accordingly, the contempt petition is disposed of, reserving liberty in favour of the complainant to challenge the order/letters stated in the memo and also to take recourse to such remedies as available in law, if so advice.
