The petitioner, who is a practising Advocate and a Member of District Bar Association Rewari has approached this Court challenging proceedings pertaining to his dismemberment. 2. Pursuant to issuance of notice of motion vide order dated 26.11.2025 Mr. Harmeet Singh, Advocate, has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.4 – Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana and has filed Vakalatnama, which is taken on record. However, it appears that the directions issued by this Court vide order dated 26.11.2025 have not been complied with. 3. Learned counsel representing respondent No.4 submitted that he does not have a copy of the impugned order in question. Learned counsel representing respondent No.4 is directed to get a copy of the order in question from respondent No.4. In case, respondent No.4 has the copy of order in question, the same be furnished to learned counsel representing the petitioner through WhatsApp within a period of one hour. 5. In case, no such order is furnished, this Court shall consider staying the impugned order. 6. To be taken up again at 12:00 noon. 7. When the matter was taken up at 12:00 Noon, Mr. Harmeet Singh, learned counsel representing respondent No.4 stated that although a letter has been written to the District Bar Association, Rewari today, but no response has been received so far. 8. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner, who has now associated through Video Conferencing, has informed that some documents have just now been conveyed to the petitioner through WhatsApp, which includes a letter dated 01.09.2025 intimating that a resolution dated 19.08.2025 has been passed dismembering the petitioner. 9. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition at this stage with liberty to challenge his dismemberment/removal from the Bar Association Rewari by the competent authority, as conveyed to him vide letter dated 01.09.2025 of District Bar Association Rewari. Learned counsel has however, submitted that since elections of Bar Association have already been declared, a direction be issued that his appeal be decided expeditiously by the competent MOHAN SINGH 2025.12.05 10:10 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh CWP-35008-2025 (O&M) - 3 - authority/special committee/returning officer so that in case his appeal is accepted, he is not deprived of an opportunity to contest the election. 10. In view of the aforesaid submission, the instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid. In case any appeal against the resolution/order dated 19.08.2025 is filed by the petitioner before the competent authority concerned/committee or returning officer, the same be decided expeditiously preferably within 10 days from filing of such appeal and it be ensured that the matter is not unnecessarily delayed so as just to defeat the chances of the petitioner to contest the elections. In case on account of some unavoidable circumstances, the appeal cannot be disposed off within 10 days from filing of appeal, the petitioner would be permitted to provisionally contest the election, in case he desires to contest the same.
