This Court, vide order dated 29.08.2024, passed in MCRC No. 5899 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Shanu Siddiqui, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raipur, District-Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 27.02.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in this case, the statements of all prosecution witnesses have been recorded and the case is now scheduled for the accused's statement. The accused is a resident of State of Uttar Pradesh and has been unable to appear for his statement on dates 21.01.2025, 04.02.2025, 17.02.2025, and further due to the massive crowd in trains during the Mahakumbh, resulting in unavailability of reserved train tickets. The accused has been given a last opportunity to appear for his statement on March 7, 2025. Hence the conclusion of the trial is likely to take some more time therefore, she prays for grant of some more time for concluding the same. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
