Heard Sri Shashank Shekhar Singh, learned counsel for petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. It has been submitted by learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner was working on the post of Area Lekhpal, Tehsil Nighasan, District Lakhimpur Kheri and submits that he is entitled to be promoted to the post of Revenue Inspector. 3. It has further been stated that departmental promotion committee also was constituted in this regard and the list of selected candidates have been issued on 28.10.2024 where the name of the petitioner has not been included and no reasons have been disclosed for rejecting the case of the petitioner for promotion. It is in the aforesaid circumstances, a prayer has been made for a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 09.11.2024 in a time bound manner. 4. Learned Standing Counsel does not object if a direction is issued to respondent for expeditious disposal of the representation preferred by the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, without entering into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 09.11.2024 (Annexure No. 1) by speaking and reasoned order expeditiously, say, within a period of six weeks from the date a copy of this order is produced before him in accordance with law and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
