Singha, Learned Counsel is present for the accused-applicant. Learned Addl. P.P. Mr. R. Saha is present for state-respondent. We have received the case record. The prosecution also has produced the Case Diary. It appears that in the meantime after completion of the investigation the I.O. has laid chargesheet against the present accused person and by order dated 02.05.2024 congnizance of offence punishable under Section 21(c)/25/29 of the NDPS Act is taken against the accused- applicant by the concerned Learned Special Judge. In the meantime after compliance of the mandatory provisions the prosecution has adduced ten numbers of witnesses as per chargesheet before the Learned Special Judge out of sixteen numbers of witnesses. So six numbers of witnesses are yet to be examined and the next date for recording of evidence is fixed on and from 18.06.2025 to 21.06.2025. Heard both the sides. Considered. Since the trial has already been commenced and evidences of witnesses of the prosecution has already been started so no further purpose would be served by keeping this matter pending before this court. So considering all, the period of interim bail is further extended till 18.06.2025. On that day the accused shall surrender before the Court of Learned Special Judge, West Tripura, Agartala and seek fresh bail and the Learned Special Judge considering the materials on record shall consider either to extend the period of interim bail or regular bail or cancellation of bail subject to available materials on record. Return back the CD to I.O. through Learned Addl. P.P. along with a copy of this order. Send down the LCR along with a copy of this order. The accused-applicant is no longer required to appear before this court. The personal appearance of I.O. is dispensed with. Accordingly, this bail application stands disposed of.
