JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA O R D E R 26-02-2026 [1] Present Mr. L. Shashibhushan, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. L. Liya, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs. R.K. Emily, learned Dy. Government Advocate on behalf of Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner approached this Court for release of payment for the work done by him for respondent No. 3/IDTRC. During the pendency of the writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits a letter dated 06-02-2026 written by the Executive Director (Technical), MSPDCL to the Director (Transport), Government of Manipur for verifying the estimate for installation of 20 Street Lights at IDTRC, Yaralpat executed by the petitioner. In pursuance to the letter dated 06-02-2026 submitted by the petitioner, the Director (Transport), Government of Manipur wrote a letter dated 25-02-2026 to the learned Government Advocate informing that the Department will take up necessary steps regarding the release of balance payment to the petitioner in terms of WP(C) No. 629 of 2025 the verification report submitted by the Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) and it is submitted that the verification has already been done. The two letters dated 06-02-2026 and 25-02-2026 are taken on record. [3] Mr. L. Shashibhushan, learned senior counsel for the petitioner, submits that the writ petition may be disposed by directing the respondents to release the payment within the stipulated time. [4] Mrs. R.K. Emily, learned Dy. Government Advocate for the State respondents, submits that the payment may be released as per law, verification report and in terms of the rules applicable therein. [5] This Court has considered the materials on record. The writ petition is disposed of as prayed for by directing the respondents to release the amount in terms of the verification report done by the MSPDCL and as per law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
