Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:10653 Court No. - 5 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 2058 of 2025 Petitioner :- Praveen Kumar Singh Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Rural Development Deptt. Lko. And 2 Counsel for Petitioner :- Anand Pratap Singh,Anand Singh Pawar,Nishtha Singh Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Abdul Moin,J. Heard. The instant writ petition has been filed challenging the order dated 26.12.2024 whereby the representation of the petitioner for he being re-engaged on contractual basis as Social Audit Coordinator has been rejected. The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that initially he had been appointed on contractual basis with renewal from year to year basis. As the petitioner fell ill for the period 2018 till 30.06.2020 consequently the contract was not renewed and even now the contract has not been renewed by the respondents. As emerges from perusal of order impugned the contract of the petitioner was not renewed on the ground that it was not found feasible to renew the contract of the petitioner on account of broken period of service rendered by him. Admittedly the petitioner is a contractual employee and the contract was renewable from year to year basis.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has not worked for the period 2018 to 30.06.2020 may be on account of his ill health but there is no occasion for this Court to issue a direction to the respondents for renewal of his contract. Keeping in view the aforesaid discussion, no case for interference is made out. The writ petition is dismissed. However dismissal of the writ petition would not preclude the respondents from considering the claim of the petitioner for contractual appointment in accordance with law and relevant rules.
