Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:10047-DB Chief Justice's Court Case :- PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 145 of 2025 Petitioner :- Ram Singhasan and 3 others Respondent :- State of U.P. thru. Prin. Secy., Food and Civil Supply, Lucknow and 5 others Counsel for Petitioner :- Hari Shanker Tewari, Ajay Tiwari Counsel for Respondent :- Anil Kumar Singh Visen, Standing Counsel Hon'ble Arun Bhansali,Chief Justice Hon'ble Jaspreet Singh,J. 1. This petition purportedly in public interest has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to conduct a detail enquiry against the respondents No.5 and 6 based on complaint made by the petitioner No.1 for selling of paddy fraudulently to the PCF Centre causing loss to the public fund and debarring entitled farmers from taking benefit of the Government Scheme. 2. Submissions have been made that respondents No.5 and 6 though are not entitled to sell the produce to the PCF Centre, they are indulging in selling the same and the respondents despite complaints made in this regard are not acting against them. 3. A perusal of the petition indicates that except for producing the registration of the respondents No.5 and 6, and making a complaint on 28.01.2025 regarding the said sale by respondents No.5 and 6, nothing further has been produced. 4. Further, the petition has been on 07.02.2025 i.e. within less than two weeks from the date the representation has been made by the petitioners and sent through registered post to the respondents therein. 5. In these circumstances of the case, wherein apparently the representation has been made by the petitioners, who are residents of District Sultanpur only with a view to file the present petition targeting respondents No.5 and 6, we do not find any reason to entertain the present petition, in purportedly public interest, the same is, therefore, dismissed.
