The present petition has been filed with the following prayer : "a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite party No. 2/Licensing Authority/District Magistrate, Barabanki to take decision and finalize the proceeding of renewal of Arm license for handgun Revolver/Pistol bearing license no. 2960/Kotwali Nagar, District-Barabanki for 32 Bore Pistol/Revolver initiated upon the application of petitioner dated 11.10.2023, within specific time frame as court may deem fit just and proper." 3. Considering the prayer limited to the issue of mandamus, the writ petition is disposed off directing the opposite party no.2 to decide the application of the petitioner for renewal of the arms license expeditiously within a period of four months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
