Heard Mr. M I Hussain, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. K K Porasor, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam.
2. This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner, namely, Usman Ali has prayed for grant of pre-arrest bail in respect of

3. Some people used to pick up stray cows and load them in a truck bearing Registration No. AS-26AC1236. Police arrested the driver of the truck but the people involved in collecting the cows managed to escape. According to the case diary, amongst those people, who managed to escape, the petitioner was one of them.
4. Mr. Hussain has submitted that the petitioner is not connected with this incident. He has been named in the FIR because his name appeared in the call list of the driver.
5. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides.
6. Under the given circumstances, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner does not deserve to be detained in custody.
7. Therefore, the bail application of the petitioner is allowed.
8. It is hereby directed that in the event of arrest Manikpur P.S. Case No. 47/2025, the petitioner, Usman Ali shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority.
9. The petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer as and when called for. The CD shall be returned. With the aforesaid direction, the anticipatory bail application stands disposed of.
