By means of this writ petition, he has sought the following reliefs:- “i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to release/pay the amount of Rs.1,43,626/- towards gratuity and an amount of Rs.60,720/- towards leave encashment to the petitioner as admitted by the respondent vide letter dated 06/09/2025 (Annexure No.3) alongwith interest at the rate 6% per annum from the date of retirement till its actual payment on the delayed payment. ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to pay penal interest at the rate 6% per annum from the date of retirement till its actual payment on the delayed payment of gratuity and leave encashment.” 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Public Information Officer, Ranikhet Depot of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation has admitted liability of the Corporation to pay enhanced gratuity and leave encasement, amounting to Rs. 1,43,626/- & Rs. 60,720 respectively. 5.
