Mr. Hem Chandra Joshi, learned counsel for the petitioners. 2. Petitioners have alleged disobedience of order dated 19.05.2017 passed by learned Single Judge of this Court in WPSS No. 1184 of 2017. By the said order respondents were directed to consider case of petitioners for regularisation from the date, persons, junior to them, were regularised. 3. It is not in dispute that services of petitioners were regularised in 2021. Petitioners contend that since junior to them were regularised in the years 2015 & 2016, therefore, they are entitled to be regularised from the said years and denial of benefit of regularisation to them from due date amounts to contempt. 4. This Court is not impressed by the said submission. Learned Single Judge has simply directed the Competent Authority to examine petitioners’ claim for regularisation, though from the date their juniors were regularised. 5. Since petitioners have been regularised in terms of order passed by learned Single Judge, therefore, if petitioners have any further grievance left in the matter, then they can certainly approach the writ court again seeking regularisation from due date. However, the averments made in the contempt petition are not enough to initiate 2025:UHC:9278 proceedings under Contempt of Courts Act against the opposite party. 6. Accordingly, the Contempt petition is dismissed with liberty to petitioners to approach the appropriate forum.
