ORAL JUDGMENT

This appeal is filed by the Land Acquisition Officer, Vijayapura challenging the judgment and award dated 13.06.2019 passed in LAC No.6/2015 by the II Addl. Senior Civil Judge, Vijayapura. 2. The respondent/claimant has filed a memo dated 27.06.2024 along with order sheet in execution proceedings in E.C.No.63/2020 on the file of the Principal Senior Civil Judge & CJM, Vijayapura. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the respondent-claimant that in the execution proceedings, the matter is settled between the parties and the same was reported before the Lok Adalat. The operative portion of the order sheet of the Lok Adalat is re-produced as follows;

“ORDERS ON MEMO The counsel for the DHr present and in view of conciliation, the parties have amicably settled their disputes. The JDr LAO/Assistant Commissioner filed by the DGP/SAS and memo of undertaking that JDr will deposit award amount otherwise the DHR is at liberty file fresh execution petition along with interest. Perused and satisfied. In view of settlement, EP stands closed.”
3. In view of the aforesaid settlement, the present appeal would not survive for consideration and hence the same is disposed of as having become infructuous.
