Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this petition, the petitioners have, inter alia, challenged Award dated 16.01.2024, passed by learned Presiding Judge, H.P. Industrial Tribunal-cum- Labour Court, Shimla, in Reference No.188 of 2018, titled as Sunil Kumar Versus The Registrar, Bahra University, Shimla & another (Annexure P-3). 2. Without much a do, on the last date of hearing, this Court has requested learned counsel for the petitioners to make endeavour to put an end to this entire litigation and by paying to the respondents an amount of Rs.1,25,000/- as one time settlement that would put an end to the disputes between the parties. 3. Today, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are willing to put an end to the entire dispute and 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2025:HHC:11794 submits that the petitioners are willing to put an end to the entire issue by paying a lump-cum amount of Rs.1,25,000/- to the respondent, but then it be observed that the same shall satisfy the Award passed by learned Labour Court in totality. 4. Though, learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the petitioners are entitled to much more than to Rs.1,25,000/-, but on the persuasion of the Court, he submits that let an amount of Rs.1,25,000/- be paid to the respondent as one time settlement, so that the issues between the parties come to an end. 5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the petitioners shall pay an amount of Rs.1,25,000/- to the respondent on or before 15.06.2025, as agreed and in lieu of the payment of this amount, the Award passed by learned Labour Court shall be deemed to have been satisfied for all intents and purposes. However, if the Award amount is not paid within the said period, let it be entail interest @ 6% per annum from today till the date of actual payment.
