This Court vide order dated 03.05.2024 issued card notice to the petitioner to engage another counsel due to death of Sri M. Naseerullah, learned counsel, who was earlier appearing for the petitioner. The office report dated 16.07.2024 shows that card notice was sent through registered post to the petitioner, but the same has returned back with the remark that 'recipient is dead". Taking into consideration the fact that the matter is an old one pertaining to the year 1993, the writ petition deserves to be dismissed for want of prosecution. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
