Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:10697 Court No. - 6 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 1830 of 2025 Petitioner :- Neeraj Kumar And 4 Others Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Addl. Chief Secy. Deptt. Of Home Lko And 5 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Manjeet Singh,Amrendra Bakhsha Das Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Alok Mathur,J. 1. Heard Shri Manjeet Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State- respondents. 2. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners appeared in the recruitment process for the post of Constable in Civil Police, for which the advertisement was issued on 23.12.2023. The petitioners appeared in the written examination and were declared successful and were again issued another admit card for appearance in the documents verification and physical standards test. The physical test was conducted on various dates in January, 2025 and the height of all the petitioners was found to be 167-168 cms and the difference is less than one centimeter, inasmuch as, had the height been 168 cms, they would have qualified to the next level of the examination. 3. Considering the fact that the difference in height is less than one centimeter and the same is measured physically, there are chances of human error and as interference has already been shown in other matters and the Medical Board is also in operation, let the height of the petitioner be re-determined, for which purposes they are directed to move an appropriate representation before the opposite party no.2- Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotions Board, Lucknow, who shall pass necessary orders for re-examination of the height of the petitioners before the duly constituted Medical Board at Lucknow. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submitted that in case one more opportunity is granted, they would abide by the decision of the said Board and would not agitate the matter any further. 5. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of. (Alok Mathur, J.)
