Saikia, learned counsel appears for the petitioner while Mr. U. Sharma, learned Standing Counsel appears for the Secondary Education Department. 2. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, who was the President of the School Managing Committee of Tezpur Collegiate High School and the grievance expressed is against the present incumbent Assistant Head Mistress, who is said to have failed to maintain academic discipline due to negligence of duty. A complaint was lodged by the petitioner and the other members of the School Managing Committee and pursuant to which the Director of Secondary Education, Assam asked the Inspector of Schools, SDC, Tezpur to conduct an inquiry as per the rules and to take appropriate action vide her letter dated 07.01.2025 (Annexure – I). Since no action has been taken thereafter, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. On 16.06.2025, when the matter was listed, this Court asked the Standing Counsel, Secondary Education Department to take instructions in the matter as regards to the steps taken pursuant to the letter dated 07.01.2025 of the Director of Secondary Education, Assam. 4. Today, Mr. U. Sharma, learned Standing Counsel, Secondary Education Department submits that as per the instructions received by him, the Inspector of Schools, Tezpur has made a proposal for transferring the respondent No. 4 to Page No.# 3/3 another school and the out come of the said proposal is awaited. 5. It is therefore appears that some steps have been taken pursuant to the Communicated dated 07.01.2025 and this Court finds no reason to keep the matter pending.
